U8 Cougars Match Report – 15th October 2023

Very proud of the Cougars this morning who put in great effort and showed lots of development. I saw team work and team spirit. The Cougars dominated possession throughout the match.

Ryan

Solid performance in goal, making two crucial saves. Excellent in defence with good passing out from the back. Contributed two goal assists, one pass out from the back and one cross into a dangerous area.

Ben

Very impressed with how Ben passed the ball and made some excellent tackles. Good team play and contributed to Brody’s goal.

Daniel

Excellent team player. Talking constantly to his team mates and giving Barney a hug when he missed a goal. That’s exactly what I like to see. Constantly gives 100% in chasing down the ball. He made a fantastic last ditch block, throwing himself in front of the ball to save a goal. It is no wonder Daniel was the parents choice for “player of the day”.

Louie

Great performance by Louie today and made some great passes. A superb last ditch tackle to stop a goal. Solid performance upfront and made some great attempts to score.

Brody

Was a persistent threat going forward and scored a fantastic goal, showing great technique. He made some excellent tackles and never gave up.

Caleb

Was very strong in defence and made some great runs. He worked very hard and showcased some great skills.

Barney

Excellent link up play and worked hard for the team. Great at making space, a good finish for his first goal and took up a good position to convert Ryan’s cross for the second.

I’m seeing so much growth within the team and I am looking forward to the challenge the next “division” brings.
