Derby Day for our U7 Bobcats – 21st October 2023

What a game today in wet conditions and a superb performance from every single bobcat against a very good team.

Today’s match report I’m going to start with Bradley. What a performance.

Never stopped running, tracking back helping his team mates out when needed and scoring 2 great goals after pressing the defenders. Couldn’t ask for more. Well done Bradley

Reggie had another great game today, he played as the holding defender and nobody got passed him without a battle.

Comfortable on the ball when under pressure. Strong in the tackle and great passing forward. Superb again Reggie

Samuel is Mr Reliable, always works his socks off for the team, tracking the oppositions attacking players and sniffing out danger making some great last ditch challenges helping us when we are under pressure. what a fantastic team player. Great job Samuel

Seb was brilliant once again in goal today making some very important saves and distributing the ball out wide from goal kicks like we practised in training. In the second half Seb played as striker and done an excellent job in getting us moving forward, nearly scoring a great goal after a solo run only to be denied by a last ditch challenge. Great work Seb

Harry once again showed what a great team player he is. Playing the first half as striker and another half in goal , he made a number of important contributions on the pitch driving the team forward and linking up well with the midfielders. In goal also as important with a number of great saves. Great job Harry

Cohan once again was brilliant today, He battled his way through on numerous occasion with some great footwork and great solo runs (at one point I think he had 4 players chasing him ) he also never forgets his defensive duties getting back and helping his team. Another great goal for Cohen through the keepers legs. Super job Cohen

Jenson once again showing fantastic attitude and work ethic today, scoring a great solo goal running down the wing then cutting in to get his strike off. I lost count today how many times he got forward and back he was everywhere ( even done 10 minutes in goal to help the team) Also heard Jenson on many occasion encouraging his team mates and helping them you should be proud. Great job Jenson

Teddy was back on the pitch today and he was brilliant, he was hungry to win every challenge and get that ball back for his team. Some great runs through the midfield to get us moving forward, an all round great performance. Great job Teddy

Last but not least Obie, I asked Obie to press today and not stop until we win the ball back in midfield like we do in training and he did not disappoint, chasing down every loose ball and winning it back for the team showing once again some great tackling and then driving us forward to get us on the attack. Great work Obie

Also wanted to say thank you to Dave today for helping me manage the team with Mike being away. A big thank you to the parents for your support of myself Dave and the boys we have the best supporters
