U7s Bobcats Match Report – 2 December 2023

Freezing conditions for the bobcats early kick off today, in a very tough and competitive game against a very good and well organised side.

Special mention to all the boys today braving the elements pulling their socks up and battling hard once again for each other.

Today’s report has to start with Samuel, myself and Mike both agreed today was Samuel’s best performance so far this season, considering he’s brilliant every week just tells you how good he was today. playing in defence in the first half Samuel was calm under pressure not just clearing the ball but playing passes out wide, taking on players then releasing in the right moments and as always great challenges to win us the ball back. Denied his first goal from the spot thanks to a great save from the keeper (that goal will come soon dude). Great work Samuel

Cohan had another great game today against a very stubborn defence who doubled up on him at times to try and stop his runs down the wing, but Cohan being Cohan always has a trick up his sleeve to get us going in the right direction, never gives up and always works hard for the team. You deserved at least a goal today but will save that celebration you’ve got planned for next week Great work Cohan

Bradley worked his socks off again today and never stops battling, I love Bradley’s attitude of never knowing when to quit and once again scores another great goal to add to his tally .Not only going forward Bradley tracked back numerous times today to make last ditch challenges for the team realising we were in trouble. Great work Bradley

Obie once again showing us his versatility playing his first half in midfield, bringing intensity in the press and winning balls back to get us moving up the field. His second half he sat at the back being our last man winning some very important challenges and then playing the ball out wide to get us in dangerous positions to attack. Great work Obie

Reggie was covering every blade of grass again today defence midfield attack and even in goal Reggie was everywhere, he works so hard for the team getting up and down the pitch non stop, strong in every challenge and showing great dribbling skills past the opposition players. Another one who deserved at least a goal today. Great work Reggie

Harry is starting to show more and more confidence each week on the ball, calm under pressure and brave dribbling forward, winning possession for us on numerous occasions today and driving forward with the ball. Harry’s throw ins have become a bit of a weapon for us now unlocking defences with his long throws getting us attacking from deep. Great work Harry

Seb had another great half in goal today, showing us how reliable he is and never lets us down in the sticks, playing in midfield in his second half Seb’s confidence is growing in abundance on the ball with some great footwork and runs but was amazes me the most is his fearlessness in a tackle winning the ball for the team. Great work Seb

Jenson as always put another great performance in today , really unlucky not to add goals to his tally but similar to Cohan was up against a very tough defence today that didn’t let them have any easy chances, nevertheless that didn’t stop Jenson from battling away and creating chances for himself and his team mates with some great 1 and 2 touch passing. You deserved a goal Great work Jenson
