U7s Bobcats Manager’s Match Report – 28th October 2023

The Bobcats definitely entertained the fans today!!!

What a performance.

That performance blew me away, against a good opposition – the boys have really stepped up a gear in the past two weeks!

Jenson was excellent today, scored 5 goals (including an outstanding free kick), ran a marathon for his team (in hyper speed at times ), oozed positivity and showed great resilience after a few strong challenges. Amazing job J

Cohan was equally brilliant today, another 2 goals to add to his ever growing tally (including a very similar and equally outstanding free kick). His dribbling skills are from another planet, skipping past several opponents with close control / impressive skills on a number of occasions. Another great show of resilience, when on the receiving end of a couple of late ones. Amazing job Cohan

Obie got not only his first, but his second goal today in his best performance to date. One first time finish from a short corner (they are listening in training ) into the bottom corner and another cool finish past the oncoming keeper, after finding himself on the end of a through ball. You deserved those goals big man! Overall a very unselfish / team oriented performance. Amazing job Obie

Reggie was Reggie today, an absolute athlete, a midfield general and a ray of sunshine! He kept a very adept academy player out of the game, with speed, strength and great positioning, drove us forward on a number of occasions (deserved a goal) and gave us the bite required to get hold of the game. An absolute pleasure to watch. Amazing job Reg

Samuel never disappoints and put in another stellar performance today. His speed, work rate and determination combine to provide the team with an impenetrable defensive base to work from and it’s great to see his confidence and ability to get forward, dribble the ball and contribute to our attacking play increasing every week. You are a gem ! Amazing job Samuel

Seb put in a performance we have come to expect in goal – solid, brave and intelligent – a really important cog in this currently unstoppable wheel! His outfield role as our lone striker was equally impactful in the second half with a lovely mazing run almost rewarding him with a goal. Keep up the great work Seb. Amazing job Seb

Bradley was a force to be reckoned with today. His combative style of football really lifts the team, nicking the ball in key areas, last ditch challenges, powerful runs forward, all disrupting the opposition and keeping us in the ascendancy. Another one that deserved a goal today and another that improves every week. Amazing job Bradley

Harry has made massive strides forward in recent weeks and today was no different. His confidence on the ball was fantastic to see, twisting and turning in tight areas, using his body to retain the ball. Harry works hard for his team, sets the standard with behaviour and is an all round good team mate. Amazing job Harry

Teddy played a strong first quarter, with great focus and determination to win the ball for his team. He showed some great listening skills throughout, took up great positions and found himself on the ball a number of times in good areas of the pitch. Amazing job Teddy
