U13s Jaguars Match Report – 26 November 2023

What a great turn out today to support 2 local teams in the Tyro Shield.

I am pretty sure it’s the biggest crowd that we have had down there and the players didn’t fail to entertain.

A fast start from Baddesley saw them go 2.0 up in no time at all!!

The Jaguars clawed it back to 2.2 but Baddesley again showed their spirit to go 3.2 up.

It wasn’t even 10 minutes into the game and we saw another equaliser to make it 3.3.

Wow!

Let’s all calm down

From then on the jaguars got to grips with the game and knocked the ball around well. Some great goals amongst them to see us through into the next round

Plenty of nominations for player of the day.

Ollie A- Made a rare appearance for us on a weekend off from learning to be the next Lewis Hamilton. Although he wasn’t on the pitch that much, he made a great impression as he received votes. Was unlucky not to score forcing a great save.

Aidan – Another super game at centre back reading the game well and sweeping things up

AJ- A hat trick and a handful all game (maybe literally a handful for his cheeky back heel goal )

Glyn – Ran the midfield with James or Thomas. Played things simply but effective and didn’t try too much. Great captains performance.

Mally – Very creative today. Lots of jinking runs which drew players in and then released to others to take advantage. Unlucky not to score.

Harry – Looked back to his best. Sharp on the ball and making good decisions. A great goal but also a great assist.

Lloyd- once again he was the turning point. After a shocking start, he took the game by the horns and caused havoc down the wing creating chance after chance for his team mates. He drives us up the gears.

But taking the honour today was James.

Looked CLASS (our word of the day) in midfield. Took his role as pivot from training yesterday into the game today. Coaches dream when a player takes training into games.

A hat trick, 3 headed goals in 3 games and an attempted over head bicycle kick!!

Awesome game James and everyone else too.

It was a fantastic atmosphere today and it was lovely to see everyone socialising at the end of the game for drinks and snacks. All mates together

On to the next round for the Jaguars.
