Under 7s Bobcats Match Report – 2nd Sept 2023

A great performance from the Bobcats, it’s so great to see the vast improvements every week we come together. Regardless of results this season, we will be a special team for a long time to come

I’m going to start todays report with Seb. I think everyone will agree that he put in an absolutely inspired performance in goal today. He put into practice the coaching that Sam provided in training, got out quickly to oncoming players feet (very bravely at times), made some fantastic diving saves and distributed the ball really well to his teammates. Amazing job Seb

Bradley bagged a hattrick upfront, with some great finishes and is proving to be a reliable source of goals for the team. Even more pleasing was his ability to breakup play today, robust In the tackle, persistent and some great positional play. Amazing job Bradley

Teddy had his best performance yet – focussed, hard working and a very accomplished tackler. His impressive defensive play, boxed our opponents in their own half for long periods of play, allowing our forward players to create a number of chances in front of goal. Amazing job Teddy

Harry once again showed his versatility, keeping a clean sheet in goal and positively impacting play on the pitch in the second half. His attitude is absolutely outstanding and he took up some great positions during the game (they clearly were listening in training ). Amazing job Harry.

Obie enjoyed multiple roles today, really excelling in midfield. He showed a great burst of speed on a number of occasions, leaving opponents trailing behind him. Its great to see him growing In confidence every game, consistently showcasing his tackling / positioning skills and taking up positions higher up the pitch. A key piece to the very exciting puzzle today. Amazing job Obie

Jenson worked very hard today in midfield, taking both his defensive and attacking duties very seriously. He managed to score 5 very good goals (a deserved reward), was a constant pest for the oppo players, hassling and stretching them all over the pitch. Proud dad. Amazing job Jenson

Samuel – outstanding as always. I’m pretty sure he made up half the pitch on an opponent with a free run to goal and made a last ditch tackle today – a great role model for your teammates. I could tell how hard he tried by the sleepy look after the game. Great at both ends of the pitch and I couldn’t ask for more. Amazing job Samuel
