U7 Bobcats Match Report – 14th October 2023

I loved every minute of that game today! What a performance from everyone involved, against a very capable opposition.

I have to start the match report with Reggie today. That was some performance. Completely dominant at the back (no one passed him) and a number of powerful attacking plays (and a fantastic goal) to compliment an all round 10/10 performance. I could not ask for more. Great job Reggie.

Obie had a great game today, he broke up play on several occasions to get us going forward, used his body really well to both win and protect the ball (as we have worked on in training) and showed an ever increasing confidence on the ball. He always works hard, brings positivity and is a fantastic team player. Great job Obie.

Samuel was another who provided unwavering resistance at the back, using his incredible speed to put in a number of last ditch challenges. He also successfully got himself up the pitch on a number of occasions and was very unlucky not to bag himself a deserved goal, with only the post keeping him out. Great job Samuel

Harry saved the day in goal today and showed what a great team player he is. He took on the information we gave him, used his box, intercepted the ball, distributed fantastically and made a number of saves. He also made a cameo appearance as a striker towards the end of the game and made a number of important contributions. Great job Harry

Cohan showed great resilience today, against a physical opposition. He battled his way through a congested midfield, with some great footwork a number of times and rounded off a superb performance with a smashing finish to bring us level in the last few minutes. I was very impressed with his defensive efforts today. Great job Cohan

Jenson returned to the team in a determined mood this week and showcased a fantastic attitude and work ethic throughout. He bagged himself a goal (he claims 2 ) and played in 3 different positions to help the team through the game. Very proud today. Great job Jenson

Bradley did what Bradley does best and provided a combative force to our attack. He was strong in the tackle, dribbled at speed and had a number of close efforts on goal. He played in midfield for the first time today and added some steel to our defensive display. An all round excellent performance. Great job Bradley .

Our first Blue 1 fixture against Romsey Panthers next week. You guys are an amazing team to manage – up the Bobcats
