U13s Jaguars vs Wyvern – 8th Oct 2023

Another top performance by every single Jaguar. We are a machine at the moment with many working parts harmonising together to create success.

Very hard to pick a player if the day as every player played at least an 8/10.

Lloyd and Glyn both received votes for brilliant performances in midfield. Glyn didn’t put a foot wrong and won so many well timed tackles. Lloyd worked hard in defence and also played a key part in AJs goals.

Managers picks go to Rowan and Thomas.

Rowan for being honest with himself and his team about his fitness levels. It would have been easy to give it a go but he put the team first and didn’t gamble. Then Thomas for taking the gloves and performing exceptionally for Rowan.

Joint runners up by just 1 vote was Martin and Olly.

Martin was granite at the back and won everything that came near him. He was marking a very useful looking striker who didn’t mind a bit of a physical game. Martin won that battle and many others and never looked in any danger.

Olly was a silent assassin. Just always in the right place foil any attack down his side. Was the perfect protection for Riley in his come back game. Showed some attacking threat as well with some jinky dribbles.

Potd this week went to AJ. His hat trick was the difference between the 2 teams and he could have had even more. The boy is on fire at the moment and nobody can seem to live with his pace, power and skills.

Well done those who got votes but once again it was a special team effort filled with work rate, protection, sacrifice and encouragement for your brothers in amber and black.
