Under 7s Bobcats Match Report – 16th Sept 2023

Probably the best team we have played today and another assured performance from the Bobcats. It’s an absolute treat to manage this team .

Bradley was among the goals again today, 2 great finishes, a number of weaving runs and worked very hard to win the ball from the front and stifle the opposition attacks (we had a couple of ‘bored’ goalkeepers today). Super job Bradley

Samuel was a superstar as always. The workhorse of the team and a shiny example to his teammates . I challenged him to get on the ball and get forward today and saw some great progress, as well as his consistently solid defensive display. Super job Samuel

Cohan has set the bar high with a 10/10 debut, 3 goals (one from the half way line ) and a dribbling display that you won’t see from many 6 year olds. It’s great to see him integrate with the lovely group of children so quickly. Super job Cohan

Harry continues to grow in confidence in goal and topped off a solid performance between the sticks, with a fantastic spell outfield. An all round display of dribbling, tackling and shooting, with a unwavering hunger to get on the ball. Super job Harry

Teddy had a couple of great spells on the field today, got in great positions, tackled hard and had a superb assist for our first goal. He also volunteered for a spell in goal to help his team and did really well in what would be a new position for him. Super job Teddy

Reggie also had a tremendous debut. Pace, movement, positioning, dribbling ability – he showed it all today. He did a great job of adapting to new positions throughout the game, with his positivity energising the players around him. Another top performance (that deserved a goal). Super job Reggie.

Last but not least Jenson, another three goals (one particularly pleasing finish, cut across the goalkeeper), strong work ethic all over the pitch and another who sets a positive example for and leads the team. Also volunteered for a spell in goal . Super job Jenson .

Thank you for the coaching support from Chris (and Harrison) today, Rebecca volunteering as the Respect Marshal and the continued support from all of you parents. We are building something special together here.
