Southbrook Tournament – 26th June 2022

The boys did us proud again today and put in maximum effort.

A Confident win in our first game which included a goal from Lloyd with his first ever touch in an M&T shirt.

Massively unlucky to go down 1.0 in our second game and deserved at least a draw against a Div 1 side. Some great saves from our on loan keeper Rory. The third game saw us come up against the same outstanding Havant and Waterlooville team from a few weeks ago. The boys dug in well but couldn’t hold out for a draw that we tried for.

Another unlucky, sickening 1.0 defeat next in a game where we once again deserved more.

We needed a win in our final league game to get through the group. The pressure made us perform to our best and we came away with a superb 4.0 win.

Yet again luck wasn’t on our side as we slipped to a 2.0 defeat in quarter final.

The boys gave it their all and behaved like true sportsmen throughout the day, playing with class, determination and respect. Team mates!

Plenty of smiles from parents and kids alike. The only person who let the club down was me when I was hammered at rock, paper, scissors!!
